Strawberry is a dicotyledonous plant and belongs to the genus Fragaria,Name derived from the Latin Fragrans and means aroma, which is characteristic of strawberry fruits.It belongs to the Rosaceae family. In the genus Fragaria belong to 12 native species. The strawberry that is grown in our area is Fragaria x ananassa.

Factors that affect the plant’s resistance to low temperatures are the variety, the origin of the plants, the physiological state and the stage of growth of the plant, as well as the duration and speed of fall and the level of temperature. Before planting, the plant residues of the previous plantation are removed from the fields, the soil is well watered with excellent quality irrigation water and its cultivation begins, after the appropriate varieties are selected by our specialized staff to meet the needs of the market.

Trained workforce collects each variety in a different time period to achieve the appropriate shape, size, color and taste. Then, the fresh product is transported by commercial vehicles to our facilities always in accordance with the provisions of hygiene and food safety, strict selection is made on the production lines by specialized personnel, at the same time it is subject to strict quality control by specialized experienced associates of the Quality Control department and packed in transparent plastic cups, paper or wooden crates, depending on the needs of each order.

From the moment the product enters our facilities, a first quality control process and a first cooling stage are followed. Then, using modern machines of advanced technology, packaging materials are formed and the product is standardized. There is a specially designed area for the receipt of packaging materials, they are stored separately and in no case do they come in contact with the fresh product.

When the product is packaged, it is transported in pallets in the special cold rooms until the moment of loading for distribution to its destination. The cooling process at the right temperature is an extremely important step in maintaining the appearance, the nutritional properties of the product and the taste.

The loading process follows a schedule so that the customer receives his load at the desired time after the appropriate temperature level has been reached in the product. Our company cooperates with truck refrigerators that have modern certified cold rooms. A temperature monitoring device is placed on each load by the Production Manager so that there is complete and direct control of each load until it reaches its destination.

Most of the total production is available to customers with department stores and supermarkets in EU and UAE countries. A smaller percentage is available in the Greek market. Our buying countries are Greece, Germany, Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Saudi Arabia.
